► ENABLING CUSTOMER’S WAREHOUSES AS A TAX BONDED WAREHOUSE

When the nature of the merchandise requires it, or if the merchandise transfer to our warehouses is unaffordable; this service allows us to extend our Tax Bonded Warehouse Service Modality to our customer’s Warehouse facilities in any part of the Mexican Republic. This can be executed, previous authorization of the National Banking Commission and under the supervision of the Federal Fiscal Audit Department of Mexico.

It is an instrument that allows the supplier domiciled abroad to have an inventory in Mexico in his name and without losing control and ownership of the merchandise with the possibility of marketing the product with several importers giving immediate response to the market.

RAILCAR HANDLING & TRANSLOADING

► RAILCAR LOADING HANDLING

Nowadays the railroad is being used more and more because it provides logistical savings of up to 30% depending on the road freight volume that one wishes to replace. The greater the distance, the greater the savings. Usually a 3-truck load is equivalent to one single rail car.

For 20 years, LINSA has helped our customers to load or unload all types of goods transported by Rail in our own rail terminals, jet we have also we can recommend and operate other rail terminals fulfilling our clients needs and handling specifications. We currently have railroad handling service in the following locations:

1) LINSA Churubusco: With capacity to handle up to 6 railcars/day indoors and 4 railcars/day outdoors.
2) LINSA Santa Catarina: With capacity to handle up to 35 rail cars/day.

Other places where we can also do railroad handling:
a) Any public thoroughfare of the KCSM and Ferromex railways throughout Mexico.
b) Railroad terminals throughout Mexico, the United States, and Canada with certain characteristics required by our customers to integrate railway logistics.

3) We can also make railcar handlings with our staff at our client’s private rail tracks..

The Railcar handling may be done with the use of:

  • Forklifts with blades for handling pallets or super sacks.
  • Forklifts with special attachments such as clamps used to handle paper rolls.
  • Conveyor belts and pneumatic compressors.
  • Human Labor Staff who can download or load bags of 25kgs, 50kgs, etc.
  • Personnel to shovel gravity unloading products.
  • Personnel to secure and block cargo inside the railroad Boxcars.

At Linsa we have experience handling the following list of products:

  • Industrial: wood, automotive parts, refractory bricks, automotive batteries, light bulbs, machinery, molds, and paper rolls.
  • Agroindustrial: sugar, beans, rice, alfalfa, corn, and milk powder.
  • Metals and Non Metals: Steel Coils, Steel Plates, steel slabs, laminations, wire rods, Aluminum Bars, Copper plates, and lead Bars.
  • Chemicals and petrochemicals: detergents, oils, acids, and gases.
  • Geological products: soil, sands, clays, dolomite stone, and quicklime.
  • Consumer products: Glass bottles, cans, and beverages.

BENEFITS OF THE USE OF THE RAILROAD:

  • In one single rail car shipment, 70 to 90 Metric tons of merchandise can be loaded and transported, while by truckload the load limit that can be transported is from 20 to 23 Metric Tons per Dry Van.
  • Our Client saves 2 custom broker procedures and 2 customs cost because with one railcar the client only pays 1 custom fee and makes 1 custom procedure versus its equivalent to three Truckloads, 3 customs procedure and 3 customs fees, to compare in a Total weight 1 Railcar Vs 3 Truckloads.
  • Savings of up to 30% in Rail freight costs vs Truckload freight, the greater the distance, the greater the savings.
  • In case of an accident, the railway company is liable for losses or damages.

The import buyer has the facility to extract small fractions of the inventory and pay ONLY the Tax corresponding to that fraction at the time he releases the product out of Linsa´s Tax Bonded Warehouse within Mexico.
  • Foreign Suppliers and Import Buyers take the advantage to have all their inventories at LINSA´s Tax Bonded Warehouse within Mexico “CLOSER” to their production plants in order to pay taxes only from those inventories that they need to extract and use from the warehouse until the moment when the inventory is needed and released from Linsa´s Tax Bonded Warehouse.
